Commissions
I do accept commissions, but perhaps not in the way you might expect.
When someone asks me for a commissioned work, I want the result to feel like a genuine painting, not a brief fulfilled. So rather than working toward one predetermined outcome, I create two or more works that I feel speak to what you're looking for, in the style, spirit and scale you have in mind. You choose the one that resonates most.
This approach came out of experience. Early in my career, I felt the pressure of commissions keenly, the weight of trying to produce a single perfect painting to order. What I've learned is that the best work happens when I'm given room to paint honestly. Multiple paintings mean I can explore, and they mean you get a real choice rather than a take it or leave it moment.
I work with both private collectors and corporate clients. Recent commissions include a large scale work for Boston Consulting Group in Brisbane.
